HOW IT WORKS
The large number of very fine, highly conductive carbon bristles concentrate energy in the static charges until the surrounding air ionizes.
Ionized air is conductive and allows ions of the opposite polarity to neutralize the charges. The diagram demonstrates the material with a positive static charge, but the ARROW electrostatic dischargers work equally well with positive or negative charges.

The carbon fibers do not need to touch the material; their
powerful performance is just as effective even if they are 5-10 mm away from the electrified surface.
