Double-membrane diaphragm pumps: sectors of use

The diaphragm pump and double-membrane pump (AODD pump) work well for pumping basic acidic chemical products, solutions or emulsions of polymers, liquid detergents or waste from processes with solid parts. They are also used for aggressive and pollutant products or volatile compounds.

AODD pumps (which can be considered pumps for chemical products) are totally sealed and have no rotating joints that could cause leakage and pollution due to liquids or vapors being leaked into the environment.

Here are some of the primary sectors of use for our directly produced double-membrane pumps, 100% made in Italy:

CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY

In the production processes for transfer of basic liquids or acids and various chemical products, for feeding filter presses for filling or emptying store tanks.

WATER TREATMENT

Transfer of liquid sludge and fluids containing suspended solid parts, feeding sodium hypochlorite, sodium bisulfite, ferric chloride, polyelectrolyte and many other chemicals used on this field.

PAPER CARDBOARD AND PACKAGING INDUSTRY

To feed chemical products on continuous production machines, for feeding and recirculating inks, lacquers, coatings, on rotogravure and flexographic printing machines or on coating machines.

AUTOMOTIVE AND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORKSHOPS

For lubricants, antifreeze, liquid detergents, brake oil, waste oils for filling for emptying store tanks.

SHIPS AND SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY

To feed fuels, hydrocarbons, loading oil or other lubricants, bilge water evacuation. In shipyards: to pump from or in to deposits several types of liquids, even aggressive, for the transfer of pickling agents, paints, protective coatings, polymers in solution, glues and adhesive fluids.

TEXTILE INDUSTRY FINISHING AND DYEING

For feeding dyeing solutions, waterproofing products, antistatic, stainresistant products and many other chemicals used on fibers, yarns and fabrics. For liquids storage or to transfer anywhere dirty waste water containing solid parts.

TANNERIES AND LEATHER FINISHING

To transfer to or from the deposit tanks the great variety of chemical products used in this sector. To pump waste water also containing solid parts to deposit cisterns or from them to water treatment plants.

CERAMICS INDUSTRY

For elimination or storage of polluted waters with solid or abrasive parts. To take solutions of pigments or lacquers, coatings or other chemical products used in the production processes.
